Welcome

"It is a pleasure to welcome you to our website.
We are very proud of our caring school, its wonderful children, the dedicated, talented staff and supportive community."
Ms J Kenna, Headteacher

St John Fisher is a bright, busy, welcoming school, where there is always lots going on. We benefit from a highly committed staff, who work well together to ensure every child reaches their potential whatever their aptitude or ability. We aim to provide the best possible education for our children and value spiritual, academic, creative, sporting, social and personal development equally highly. We believe that children learn best when they experience a rich, enjoyable and relevant curriculum and where they are encouraged, supported and appropriately challenged. We aim to enable our children to become enthusiastic, independent, life-long learners, by helping them to develop positive attitudes to learning and the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.

Our most recent OFSTED inspection in April 2023, identified the school as having:
‘a warm and friendly place, where everyone is welcome, regardless of their differences’ and 'that there are positive working relationships among pupils and adults abound.'

We enjoy a high level of parent and community support; we firmly believe in the benefits of home, school and parish working together to develop the uniqueness and talents of all our children.

As a Catholic school, we offer a Catholic education for pupils of all faiths and none. The spiritual development of our children is based on the Church's teachings and on the Christian principles of love, respect, selflessness and forgiveness.

If you are looking for a school place for your child, we would love you to visit our school and meet our wonderful staff and pupils. School tours and pre-arranged visits can be booked via the office. Children are welcome to attend. We look forward to welcoming you.
