Nursery and Reception

Parents looking for nursery or reception places are encouraged to join one of our school tours. The dates for these tours are on our school calendar. These tours are held regularly throughout the year and normally last about half an hour.  You do not need to book - just turn up for the 9.30 am start.

Nursery Applications

Supplementary forms can be downloaded from the website or obtained from the school office and must be completed and returned to school by:
15th January 2020.

Reception Applications

Applications can be completed online at . In cases where parents are unable to complete an online application, forms for reception places are available from the school office. The allocation of reception places is the responsibility of the local authority. Places are allocated using the criteria outlined below in the admissions policy. In addition to the common application form supplied by the LA, the Supplementary Information and Priest's Declaration Form (available from the school) must be completed and sent to the school no later than the closing date set by the LA. A place in the nursery does not necessarily guarantee a place in reception and a separate application form for reception needs to be completed even if your child has a place in our nursery.

Supplementary forms must be  returned to school by 15th Jan 2020 and be signed by your parish priest. A new supplementary form must be completed for reception as the nursery form will not be accepted.

Closing date for on-line applications to Merton Council 15th Jan 2020. Please make sure these are on time as it will affect your application.

All information is on Merton Council School admissions web-site.

If you would like your child to join St John Fisher at a time other than at the start of reception, you should contact the school office for an application form. If the relevant year group for your child is full (i.e. all 60 places are taken) then he/she will be placed on our waiting list. If there are spaces in the relevant year group, you will have the benefit of an initial meeting with our admin officer and one of the leadership team. This serves to ensure that we have all the necessary information to make your child's start at St John Fisher as smooth and positive as possible. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and tour the school if you haven't already done so.
