The SJF Resource Support Fund
At St John Fisher Catholic Primary School, we are deeply grateful for the strong, supportive community that surrounds our children. Every day, our staff work hard to provide an exceptional learning environment where every child can flourish.
Like many schools across the country, our budget has been significantly stretched in real terms. While our PTFA works tirelessly to fund extra enrichment and capital projects, the SJF Resource Support Fund helps bridge the gap for core classroom essentials that support day-to-day learning.
How Your Support Helps
Every voluntary donation directly enhances your child’s classroom and school experience. Funds raised go directly toward:
- Classroom Essentials: Reading books, stationery, and art supplies.
- Digital Learning: Up-to-date software, online learning subscriptions, and educational tools.
- Classroom Technology: Upgrading computers and interactive whiteboards.
Clear & Transparent
All contributions go directly to the St John Fisher School Governor’s Fund (Registered Charity No. 1178706). As a registered charity, all accounts are independently audited and publicly available via the Charity Commission.
We look forward to sharing regular updates in our weekly Headlines newsletter, around the school and on our social media channels showing how much we've raised together and how those funds are being put to work in our classrooms.
How You Can Give
Every contribution, no matter how small or large, makes a meaningful difference to our pupils. Every donation is completely voluntary and confidential. You can donate in whichever way is most convenient for you:
- Via Arbor: Visit the School Shop on your Arbor app.
- Standing Order: Set up a recurring monthly gift to provide steady support throughout the school year.
- Direct Bank Transfer: Make a quick one-off contribution directly to the fund.
- Cheque to the school office: Payable to St John Fisher School Governor’s Fund.
If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate, at zero extra cost to you!
- How to claim: Simply fill out our quick online form via the website or directly at Gift Aid Declaration Form.
- Higher-rate taxpayers: You can also claim additional tax relief on your personal self-assessment return.
We will also have collection points at all major school events. Thank you for your continued generosity and partnership in supporting our school community.
What Your Donation Can Buy
To give you an idea of how every pound directly helps our pupils, here are examples of what typical resource items cost:
- £5: Provides a child with their own CGP revision workbook to boost confidence in English or Maths.
- £10: Could buy a Digital Subscription for example Times Tables Rockstars.
- £25: Is a great contribution to our partnership with Merton Music Foundation.
- £50: Supplies a set of ten workbooks for targeted Maths or Phonics practice.
- £100: Refreshes a classroom library with 25 brand-new books to inspire a love of reading.
- £200: Funds an annual school-wide subscription to Times Tables Rock Stars.
- £500: Provides a classroom PC to power daily lessons and interactive learning apps.
- £2,000: Installs a state-of-the-art interactive touchscreen whiteboard for immersive teaching.
Whether you choose to fund a pack of pens for £5, a set of workbooks for £50 or make a custom contribution, every donation directly impacts our classrooms.
