Admissions

Nursery and Reception

Due to changes with the COVID restrictions, we are now able to invite prospective parents/carers into the school site. In addition to this, we have created a short virtual tour which we hope you will find a useful resource to find out more about our wonderful school. If you have any further enquiries please email us at admin.officer@st-johnfisher.merton.sch.uk or call 02085402637.

Nursery Applications

Supplementary forms can be downloaded from the website or obtained from the school office and must be completed and returned to school by:
28/02/2024.

Reception Applications

Applications can be completed online at www.merton.gov.uk/admissions . In cases where parents are unable to complete an online application, forms for reception places are available from the school office. The allocation of reception places is the responsibility of the local authority. Places are allocated using the criteria outlined below in the admissions policy. In addition to the common application form supplied by the LA, the Supplementary Information and Priest's Declaration Form (available from the school) must be completed and sent to the school no later than the closing date set by the LA. A place in the nursery does not necessarily guarantee a place in reception and a separate application form for reception needs to be completed even if your child has a place in our nursery.

Supplementary forms must be  returned to school by 15th Jan 2024 and be signed by your parish priest. A new supplementary form must be completed for reception as the nursery form will not be accepted.

Closing date for on-line applications to Merton Council 15th Jan 2024. Please make sure these are on time as it will impact upon your application.

All information is on Merton Council School admissions website.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE  - Supplementary Forms

'In-Year' Transfers / Applications

If you would like your child to join St John Fisher at a time other than at the start of reception, you should contact the school office for an application form. If the relevant year group for your child is full (i.e. all 60 places are taken) then he/she will be placed on our waiting list. If there are spaces in the relevant year group, you will have the benefit of an initial meeting with our admin officer and one of the leadership team. This serves to ensure that we have all the necessary information to make your child's start at St John Fisher as smooth and positive as possible. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and tour the school if you haven't already done so. These applications will be dealt with by 31st August at the latest each year.
